Ammos Estiatorio Reviews

Overall Google Ratings: 4.1/5 (⭐⭐⭐⭐☆) based on 709 reviews

i) Hina Cao: 4.8/5 (⭐⭐⭐⭐☆) (02-07-2025)

The atmosphere felt a bit noisy for my taste. Unfortunately, they didn’t have beets to make the beet yogurt pistachio crumble dessert I wanted. The lobster mango salad was decent, but the lobster itself didn’t have much flavor. However, the Black Sea bass was great, and I was especially fond of the organic chicken, which stood out the most for me.

ii) Grace Austin: 3.5/5 (⭐⭐⭐) (01-07-2025)

Located conveniently near Vanderbilt/Summit and Grand Central, this restaurant offers a pleasant atmosphere. The menu seems appealing at first glance, but the prices are quite steep, even for Manhattan. Sadly, the food was under-seasoned, and there was no salt or pepper available on the table. The server didn’t check if we needed anything either. The prix-fixe menu was fine, but any seafood dish came with an additional $15 charge, which made my $55 meal jump to $85. The dessert was disappointing—I enjoy pistachio cream, but this version had an overwhelming amount of hazelnuts, and I’m not a fan of melted ice cream. Overall, it was okay, but I’m not sure a basic lunch for four (without drinks) should cost $300.
