I ordered 3 dishes for takeout through DoorDash, and they gave a large container of banchan (side dishes) like potato, seaweed, kimchi, pickled cucumber, and pickled radish:
Jjajangmyun (4/5): This was the best dish. It was sweeter than what I usually get but had great flavor. I liked that it wasn’t just pork and onions.
Jjambbong (3/5): It was spicy with lots of seafood and veggies, but I think it lacked the depth and umami flavor compared to China Jade.
Tteokbboki (3.5/5): I was surprised to see it came with a roll of kimbap. I’m not usually a big fan of tteokbboki (spicy rice cakes), but this was good. The kimbap could have had more flavor, but it tasted better when dipped in the spicy sauce. If I order again, I’ll try crispy fried mandoo.

I used to live in Beaverton and passed by this place often. Last week, I stopped by and found out it’s Waba, serving delicious, authentic Korean food!
I ordered my favorite dish, gop chang bokkum (intestines in a peppery vegetable sauce), which is hard to find unless you’re at a real Korean restaurant. My wife got duk gook (rice cake soup).
The gop chang bokkum brought back great memories. Waba adds lots of vegetables and flavor to their dishes. My wife loved the garlic in her soup.
We returned a few days later, and I got my gop chang bokkum again. My wife tried duk bokki (rice cake in a spicy sauce) and we also had galbi (barbecued short ribs).
The duk bokki was excellent, and the galbi was savory and sweet—best eaten fresh. I’m happy to have found a great Korean place nearby in Beaverton.
I’ve visited several times now and will keep ordering from them until things settle down with COVID-19, then I’ll head back to NYC.
