I absolutely love the vibe at Edie Jo’s! It’s such a charming spot, but keep in mind that they don’t take reservations, and Saturdays, especially in the afternoon, can get busy.
The staff – from the bartenders to the waiters – were all super friendly. That said, a little more attention to detail would have been nice, as there were a few mix-ups with drinks and biscuits missing from our order. I assume mistakes happen often since you place your order at the bar and then wait for it to be brought to your table, with your credit card used to open a tab.
My niece and I arrived just after 11 AM on the last Saturday in March, and it wasn’t too crowded at that time. We sat inside at a booth but noticed some people dining outside too.
If you visit, I highly recommend the French toast and EJ rum punch (though it’s not the traditional Jamaican rum punch, it’s still delicious). My niece really enjoyed her chicken sandwich with fries and also suggests trying the Moscow mule.
We ended up spending around $135 with tax and tip.

Edie Jo’s is a fantastic spot, and I’m glad to see they’ve brought back the paper menus!
The only downside was that service could be improved. Ordering was a bit tricky, and there wasn’t much attention from staff, so it felt a bit disconnected.
The food, however, was excellent. I had the burger and the sausage and egg sandwich for brunch, both of which I would highly recommend.
All in all, a great experience. Don’t hesitate to give it a try!
